Job Functions

• Experience in Medical billing with Medicare / caid, managed care in a hospital or doctor's office setting.
• Responsible for managing the administrative responsibilities of billing insurance to ensure the client's procedures are paid for by their insurance company.
• Acting as the liaison between the client, client's family, insurance company, utilization review and other staff when necessary.
• Verifying insurance, handling self-pay client accounts, accurately preparing Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care and third-party billing on a weekly basis.
• In addition, you will be working all claim rejections in clearinghouse to ensure all billing is captured and sent out in a timely manner.
• Will also assist in helping to maintain daily census / assist in claim deletions-corrections as needed.
• Most importantly, all functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
