ICU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Bangor, Maine (04401) - Maine healthcare jobs Facility : Level II Trauma Center, 26-bed Intensive Care Unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date : November 12, 2025 End Date : February 7, 2026 Duration : 12-week contract Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM) Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed Weekend Rotation : Every other weekend (Friday / Saturday nights) Estimated Weekly Salary : $1970 - $2110 Benefits : Free parking in designated areas Scrub Color : Any solid color (professional attire required) ICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Maine or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred (required for PICU float) Strong neuro and trauma ICU experience (EVD, ICP monitoring required) Proficient in ventilator management, critical care drips, drain management, stroke care, hemodynamic lines (A-lines / CVP), cardiac rhythm recognition, chest tubes, tracheostomy care, and advanced assessment skills Experience with Cerner EMR preferred Charge / CRN experience is a plus First-time travel nurses welcome ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, evidence-based critical care to medical, surgical, trauma, neuro, ortho, and interventional ICU patients Manage patients with sepsis, ARDS, DKA, multi-system trauma, stroke, and respiratory illnesses Perform neuro and trauma care, including EVD and ICP monitoring Administer and monitor critical care drips, ventilators, and hemodynamic lines Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team (resource nurses, RTs, hospitalists, intensivists, trauma surgeons) Float as needed to Cardiac Care Unit, Cardiac / Medical Stepdown, or PICU (if qualified) Document patient care using Cerner EMR Participate in general hospital orientation and unit-specific orientation shift Discover the advantages of travel nursing jobs in Maine and make a difference in critical care.
