Empowered Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team.
In this role, you will build meaningful relationships that inspire confidence, promote independence, and support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living fulfilling, joyful lives.
As a DSP, you will work one-on-one with each customer to understand their unique needs, support them in achieving their goals, and provide care in a positive, encouraging, and safe environment. Our DSPs serve not only as caregivers but also as mentors, advocates, and trusted companions for the individuals we support.
326 : We are looking for a caring and patient provider to support a sweet and adventurous child in the afternoons. He loves going to the park, sliding on the playground, running around at the skate park, browsing stores, and singing along to music. Though he may be shy at first, he warms up and becomes talkative once comfortable. The ideal provider will be attentive, a good listener, and able to redirect with patience when needed. Safety awareness is important, as he needs reminders to stay on the sidewalk and hold hands when crossing the street. He also has at-home therapy a few days a week, which is a great opportunity for providers to learn and help him practice his tools.
The schedule is Monday through Friday from 2 : 30 pm to 7 pm, with flexible Saturdays.

Encourage and guide customers in achieving their personal goals, tracking progress, and sharing insights with their County Coordinator.
Foster skill development, hobbies, interests, and community engagement, helping customers build confidence and independence.
Develop genuine relationships, creating a sense of belonging and helping customers recognize their value and voice in the community.
Keep in touch with County Coordinators and report updates or concerns promptly, ensuring smooth and supportive care.
Follow all safety and wellness protocols to maintain a secure and comfortable environment for customers.
Complete required state training and certifications, keeping your skills sharp and your care up-to-date.
Approach each day with compassion, patience, and understanding. Serve as a mentor, advocate, and companion, bringing encouragement, laughter, and meaningful support to customers lives.
