JOB DESCRIPTION

Shift :

B Shift : Sunday, Monday,Tuesday alt. Wednesday 5 : 40pm-6 : 00am

Please Note : We do haverequired overtime.

Interview : Onsite interview

This person is a member of acrew that operates two production lines.You will work with your shift tosafely produce high quality product in a fast pace continuous operationenvironment. The expectation for a winder operator is to deliver qualitypackaging and products for our customers.

JOB DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES

Plant and Environmental Safety

Lives the Safety Standard and meets all safetyrequirements. Safety is a condition of employment.

Take personal ownership towork safely and hold other team members to the same high standards of safetySafer together.

Notify supervisor immediatelyof any accident, near miss or on- the -job injury when it occurs no matter howinsignificant it may seem.

Participates in the safety,quality, autonomous maintenance (AM), TPM and housekeeping programs asestablished within the plant; including but not limited to Focused ImprovementEvents, Safety Committee, Training, etc.

Performs job tasks to reduceenvironmental impact and adheres to the environmental regulations and recyclingprocedures for waste disposal.

Complies with all plant rulesand safety regulations.

Performs cleanup duties atworkstations and / or equipment / machinery.

Communicates safety concernsand / or equipment problems / abnormalities to appropriate personnel, maintainingstrong communication with the appropriate line section operators to ensureimmediate action is taken for product out of spec.

Inspect vehicles and other PIVequipment before use and throughout shift, keeping all equipment clean andoperational.

TPM

Participates in plant TPMinitiatives - completing activities associated with TPM tasks (adheres to CILTstandard, 5S). Must be an active member of an AM and or Pillar team.

Continues to use TPMmethodology to gain a better understanding of the equipment.

Identifies and participatesproactively in learning opportunities and develops expertise in those areas.

Utilizes Focus Improvement (FI)tools to problem solve.

Works to achieve zeroinjuries, zero defects and zero losses.

During PM days, uses timeeffectively to bring equipment to optimal condition for zero losses.

Maintain DMS and AM Team AreaActivity Boards.

Quality

Perform winder, EDL, andconveyor quality checks and documentation at specified intervals.

Maintain control panel adjust speed, delays, and other timers if needed.

Interface with plant employeesto provide quality control (QC) information.

Monitor and report unusual orsuspect material issues not within specifications.

Communicate with all coaterend operators concerning shift production

Communicate with all back-endoperators concerning quality problems

Understand and react to upsetconditions.

Evaluate all finished productfor proper weight and / or thickness.

Productivity

Have a basic understanding ofproduct process.

Operate Winders and packagingmachines on both lines.

Operate banding equipment.

Print and apply pallet labels

Load and stack reworkedmaterial.

Manage and accurately reportthe amount of scrap and seconds for tracking.

Relieve crew members fromduties for breaks

Manage trash.

Listen for alarms and respondsappropriately to the various alarm signals.

Assist in repair of webbreaks.

Assist in all threading,product change procedures.

Perform PM to AM tasktransfers on down days.

Other

Demonstrate the ability toeffectively communicate.

Support the training anddevelopment of colleagues.

Demonstrates flexibility to changingpriorities as business needs dictate.

Identifies and participatesproactively in learning opportunities and develops expertise in those areas.

Follows standard operatingprocedures and processes.

Can and is willing to makedecisions. Knows the chain of command to get support.

Regular attendance on site andthe ability to rotate varying shifts.

All other duties as assignedor needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The employee should hold thefollowing skills and abilities :

Demonstrated desire to impactsafety

Demonstrated mechanicalaptitude and the ability to troubleshoot

Demonstrated ability tomulti-task

Basic mathematics skills

Able to effectivelycommunicate (read, write, speak, understand) English

COMPUTER AND SOFTWARECOMPENTENCIES

The employee must be able to :

Work with a computer toperform basic data entry

Demonstrate basic computerskills such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Pallet labeling system (MII), Ignitionand SAP.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GEDEquivalent.

Manufacturing or processrelated experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

Must :

Be at least 18 years old.

Remain drug free.

Have work schedule flexibility(possible rotating shifts; mandatory overtime).

Effectively and efficientlyperform up to 12-hour shifts (with breaks) in an industrial manufacturingenvironment :

While wearing applicable / mandatory PPE.

With exposure to :

Extreme temperaturevariation.

Sounds or noise levels thatmay be uncomfortable (hearing protection is provided).

Prolonged sitting, standing,walking, and / or using full upper / lower body movement for process.

Ink / dust / dirt / fumes.

With the ability to :

Distinguish colors andshading.

Handle, control, feed, or feelobjects, tools, or product.

Climb / descend stairs / ladder, and / or work from heights as needed.

Become certified to operate aforklift (if / as needed).

Repetitively and freely :

Perform movements of body,hand, arm, leg.

Bend, twist, squat, walk, sit,stand; to include waist, back and knee motion.

Lift, push and pull40lbs.
