Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool assignment with night shifts and floating requirements, requiring an OH or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital-based Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool
  • Float between NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and medical-surgical units as needed
  • Patient population includes pediatric critical care patients
  • Night shift schedule (4x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 00)
  • Floating between multiple specialized pediatric units is required
  • EMR system used is Epic and prior experience is required
  • Candidates must be willing to comply with frequent floating as part of the float pool team
  • No time off will be approved for December 24th or 25th and candidates must be available through the New Year
  • Work environment includes exposure to Level 1 Trauma care
  • Timeliness is strictly enforced with late arrivals considered after 3 minutes
  • First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience criteria

  • Active OH or compact RN license in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience highly preferred
  • Epic EMR experience is required
  • Two references required for consideration, with at least one being managerial or supervisor
  • Candidates must not have worked permanently at this facility within the past 2 years
  • No local candidates accepted; must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
  • First-time travelers will be considered on a case-by-case basis, typically requiring 3+ years' experience and Level 1 Trauma background
