Journey Worker-Level Rooftop Solar Installer

Position Summary : As a journey worker-level rooftop solar installer specializing in new construction, you will lead the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial structures. You'll coordinate with construction teams, ensure racking systems are integrated during the build phase, and verify that all work meets building codes and standards while following safety regulations. The system is 2,295 KW and a post and rail system by Iron Ridge.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess roof plans and coordinate solar array layouts with construction teams.
• Install mounting systems, solar panels, inverters, and related hardware during the construction phase.
• Conduct QA / QC to ensure mechanical components are installed correctly.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, electrical codes, and safety standards.
• Supervise apprentices and assist in training junior installers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

Typical Day : Candidates will report to the work site at 6 : 45 am. They will meet for the safety meeting, stretch and flex and be assigned their daily duties. Work will wrap up around 3 : 30 pm. Overtime will be after the shift and occasionally on Saturdays.

Experience Level : Expert Level

Job Type & Location : This is a contract position based out of Flanders, NJ 07836.

Pay and Benefits : The pay range for this position is $92.02 - $92.02 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
