Business Operations Supervisor
Harborview Medical Center Ambulatory and Allied Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Business Operations Supervisor. The scope of this position includes the Audiology, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Epilepsy Clinics. The Otolaryngology clinic assesses and treats patients with routine and complex disorders, conditions and cancers of the ear, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck. Our highly-trained surgeons, speech pathologists, nurses and support staff work hard to provide each patient with individualized treatment and information to support the healthiest outcome possible. We also provide diagnosis and treatment for voice and swallowing conditions, sleep surgery, and complete audiology services, including diagnostic hearing evaluations and advanced hearing aid technology.
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic at Harborview provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. These conditions include impacted teeth, oral pathology, facial trauma, head and neck infections, maxillofacial reconstruction / implants, dentofacial deformities and temporomandibular joint disorders. The UW Medicine Regional Epilepsy Center, located at Harborview Medical Center, is a nationally recognized Level 4 epilepsy center accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers. This designation confirms we provide the highest level of care available for seizure disorders.

Primary job responsibilities include : supervising patient service representatives and program coordinators, developing and implementing policies / procedures around the patient's entry into and through the clinics and Harborview Medical Center, collaborating with and supporting surgical patient care coordinators to ensure optimum operating room utilization, care coordination and scheduling practices, performing specific leadership functions related to clinical practice, education and / or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Clinic Practice Manager and Clinic Medical Director, providing leadership for clinic and divisional activities that promote delivery of quality care and service, effective problem solving and communication, and continued professional development for self and others, and serving as a role model and providing guidance to other staff including review and evaluation of performance.
Requirements include : a bachelor's degree in business, public relations or medically related field, at least two years experience in a management or supervisory role, or equivalent education and experience, and expert knowledge and use of EPIC application, templates, and referrals.
