Job description

Experience with 'Grafana K6' is required in combination with other performance testing tools Candidates need to have strong comm skills and the ability to lead and drive a team, both onshore and offshore.

Client is seeking a talented Performance Test Engineer to ensure our e-commerce and retail systems deliver fast, reliable, and scalable experiences. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with performance testing tools, scripting, and CI / CD integration, with a strong focus on optimizing web and retail applications.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and execute performance and load testing scenarios for retail applications using k6, Playwright, and Neoload.
  • Automate performance tests and integrate them into the CI / CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality.
  • Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations for performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize e-commerce and backend systems.
  • Maintain and enhance performance testing frameworks to support new features and releases.

Must-Have Skills :

  • Extensive hands-on experience with k6, Playwright, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Neoload for load and performance testing.
  • Strong understanding of CI / CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce or retail system performance considerations (site speed, scalability, peak load handling).

    • Nice-to-Have Skills :

  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for performance testing.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic.
  • Knowledge of additional performance testing tools or frameworks.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in performance testing, preferably in retail or e-commerce systems.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying performance issues.
