Position Summary
Zollege is seeking dedicated, hands-on LVN Program Instructors to join our faculty team in Austin, TX. Instructors will play a key role in delivering classroom, lab, and clinical instruction for the Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program, ensuring students gain the clinical competence, confidence, and professional readiness to excel in healthcare settings.
This role is ideal for licensed nurses passionate about teaching and mentoring future LVNs, who bring real-world clinical experience and a strong commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging instruction for assigned courses within the LVN curriculum (didactic, lab, and clinical).
Prepare lesson plans, demonstrations, and assessments aligned with course outcomes and Board of Nursing standards.
Supervise students in skills labs and clinical settings, ensuring safety, professionalism, and competency.
Provide continuous feedback, coaching, and academic support to students throughout the program.
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other faculty to refine course content and maintain alignment with program goals.
Maintain accurate documentation of attendance, grades, and student progress.
Participate in faculty meetings, training, and curriculum improvement initiatives.
Promote a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment consistent with Zollege's mission and values.
Required Qualifications
Passionate about helping students grow and develop into best-in-class healthcare professionals
Current, unencumbered LVN license in the State of Texas.
Graduate of an accredited LVN program.
Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience.
Prior teaching, mentoring, or preceptorship experience in a healthcare or education setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and guide students.
Comfortable with technology, including use of a learning management system (LMS) and simulation tools.
Committed to professional ethics, regulatory compliance, and continuous learning.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.
Experience teaching in a vocational, community college, or private postsecondary nursing program.
Familiarity with Texas Board of Nursing education standards and LVN program compliance.
Experience with simulation-based instruction or hybrid learning models.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.
