Security Analyst

Job Description

Consultant will combine experience of technical writing, incident handling and project management to lead and produce written and oral cybersecurity briefings to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Primary responsibilities will be producing clear and concise communications that summarize incident response.

o During these high pressure times, the candidate will work closely with security to ensure incident data is accurately captured and high-quality documentation is maintained.

o The candidate will produce incident reports for a wide group of technical and non-technical audiences such as legal, executive, board level and enterprise-wide.

Required Experience and Skills :

Excellent grammar, editing, and writing skills with a strong attention to detail

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally to a wide range of audiences

Experience in video production and editing

Basic understanding of cybersecurity software and tools

Familiarity with cybersecurity communications language and subject matter

Familiarity with security operations and incident response concepts

Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure

Experience using the entire Microsoft Office 365 Suite and Adobe Acrobat Professional

Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations

Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals

Comfort with building and refining processes on a growing team

Highly Desired Experience and Skills :

Direct people leadership and performance management experience

Bachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or Journalism

Organizational change management experience

Program or project management experience

Incident management experience in a global enterprise scale environment

Prior experience in a cybersecurity role

This is a Contract position based out of East Peoria, IL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00 / hr.
