Restaurant Manager Responsibilities
Reporting to theRestaurant General Manager, our Restaurant Managers are the champions of betterburgers! In this role you will :Manage theperformance of multiple Shift Leaders (SL) and EmployeesPromote a fun andpositive work environmentManage theeffectiveness of people focused processes and systemsProvide initialand ongoing training to all employees within the unit utilizing SmashConnect,LMS, and 4 step method of training, including the selection, development, andperformance management of employeesReward andrecognize employee performance that exceeds company standardsManage withintegrity the daily completion of operational check lists to includeLine checks anduniform standardsOpening / closingcheck listsSafe and depositlogsManage FSCoperational standards dailyManage the guestexperience metrics (NPS and OSAT)Ensure all foodsafety standards are followed and in compliance with all local healthdepartmentsExemplify guestservice on each shift of the day and communicates SIZZLE service standards tothe employeesManage thesuccessful onboarding and training for all new employeesSupport routinemanagement communicationFollow COGSmanagement procedures for food ordering and inventoryFollow andensures company cash policies to ensure minimal losses through theft orshortagesManage dailylaborBuild schedulesbased on company forecast tool and allowed labor percentages. 1-2 years ofManager experience in restaurantsFlexible to worknights, weekends, and holidaysFollowSmashburger uniform standardsAbility to followall guidelines and procedures set forth by Smashburger, local, state, andfederal employment regulationsMust successfullycomplete Smashburger training programPossess strongcommunication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate withrestaurant management, front line employees and corporate support teamsPeople managementskills to effectively select, assess, coach / counsel, develop, motivate, andlead restaurant teamsExcellentattention to detailProven timemanagement, consistency, and organizational skillsHighly motivated,self-directed, and results drivenPhysical abilityto stand for extended periods of time and to move and lift boxes of food / supplies up to 50 lbs.Ability to workin high and low temperatures
