Job descriptionAdminister I.V. drugs to chemotherapy and other patients under the supervision of the physician; for flushing ports. Advise the Senior Charge Nurse / Pharmacy Manager NCC of needed medication and supplies. Appropriately dispose of chemo waste which may contaminate the environment. Prepare and maintain chemo equipment; inform Senior Charge Nurse / Pharmacy Manager of needed repairs. Educate patients on nutrition and side effects of the drugs used. Promptly recognize treatment of extravasation, according to department guidelines. Ensure that all new patients speak with the Business Office before receiving therapy. Responsible for control of schedule, i.e. when over-booked to attempt to reschedule patients. Documentation of drugs, solutions, treatments, and patient responses according to department guidelines. Follow department guidelines regarding protective techniques to avoid exposure to antineoplastic drugs during preparation and administration. Follow departmental guidelines regarding universal infectious control precautions and hazardous substance guidelines Valid IV Certification Valid NJ RN License BLS Preferred : ONS / OCN Certification Preferred Next Gen EMR experience preferred Registered Nurses (RN) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Travel Nursing Quality Assurance / Review, Performance Improvement, HEDIS Nursing Leadership Case Management Technologists : Medical, Laboratory, Cardiac, RadTech, X-Ray Therapy : Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy Social Work : LCSW / LMSW, Case Management, Care Coordination Med Support : Medical Assistants, Phlebotomy, Surgical / Sterile Techs Pharmacists and Pharmacy Techs Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistants Practice Management Clinical Operations Administrative Support Reception, Clerical, Call Center Claims Appeals / Denials / Reimbursement Insurance Pre-Authorizations Medical Billing / Coding 401k retirement plan Weekly pay

Our client is a privately owned, specialty practice medical group with an oncology-focused infusion center located in Plainsboro, NJ. They are currently in need of several Infusion RN's to support day to day activities on a full-time / 40 hour per week basis.
