Reach Truck Operator

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Reach Truck Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count inventory in a fast-paced environment. You will be required to adhere to safety and operational guidelines while ensuring that the right materials are delivered to the appropriate locations in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a reach truck to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
• Ensure accurate storage of materials, track inventory levels, and perform routine stock checks.
• Accurately pick and deliver products as per order requests.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Perform pre-operation inspections and report any maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and complete all required paperwork promptly.
• Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
• Assist in other warehouse duties as required, including packing, labeling, and general housekeeping.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very large, fast-paced warehouse spanning over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors and a variety of electrical parts. The warehouse is clean, organized, and separated by racks and a wire room section. Employees are expected to maintain cleanliness and organization in their workspace. The candidate will specifically work in the large pick segment with floor-to-ceiling racks and a wire guidance system. The shift is Monday through Friday, starting at 2 : 30 pm and ending upon completion of tasks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
