Job Overview-Grant Accountant :
- Manage accounting and financial reporting for grant activities, supporting both the main office and affiliated schools.
- Prepare and submit grant reimbursement requests on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts with subledgers.
- ssist in preparing required grant reports for funding sources.
- Support audits of grant-funded projects by providing financial documentation and explanations.
- Enter and update grant award information using Oracle systems .
- Use Microsoft Office programs and other computer tools to complete daily work efficiently.
- Stay organized and manage several tasks at once to meet deadlines.
- Work collaboratively within a small team, showing respect and professionalism.
- Make independent decisions and take responsibility for results.
- Work in person at the designated service center in Grand Rapids, MI.
- pproach new systems and challenges with a willingness to problem solve, especially in Oracle.
- Help improve and develop new processes to streamline grant accounting work.
Required Qualifications :
Staff accountant experience with grants or similar financial tasks.Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting or a related field.Two to four years of relevant experience or training.Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Comfortable with teamwork and independent work.Quiet and focused work style preferred.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with grants in an education environment.Familiarity with Oracle Cloud systems, especially PPM grant module .Additional Details :
