About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience :

Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in Medical / Surgical / Telemetry / Progressive Care Unit.

Neuro trauma stepdown experience with NIHHS certification preferred.

License :

Oregon RN license is not required at time of submission; pending is acceptable.

Certifications : BLS required.

Must-Have :

Management of telemetry.

Interpretation of cardiac rhythms.

Management of dysrhythmias.

Oxygen protocol.

Non-invasive airway management.

Peripheral line care / management.

Isolation precaution / PPE.

Experience with cardiac drips (nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, other IMCU level gtts).

Epic charting experience is a hard stop requirement.

Description :

This position requires an RN with strong telemetry experience.

The nurse will care for patients on a surgical neuro trauma care unit.

The nurse is responsible for managing telemetry and interpreting cardiac rhythms.

Patient ratios are typically 1 RN to 4-6 patients during shifts.

Experience with cardiac drips and non-invasive airway management is crucial.

The role includes collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services.

Experience as a traveler is preferred but not mandatory.

The nurse may float to meet facility needs.

Weekends are required every other week.

The facility will provide support with a variety of medical conditions as the unit aims to evolve into a Surgical Neuro Trauma ICU / IMCU in the future.
