Waste Broker Coordinator (Jr Broker) – Professional Waste – South Florida Office
About the Role :
Join Professional Waste at the heart of our operations! As a Waste Broker Coordinator, you’ll be the bridge between deals and service, managing account setups, coordinating hauler communication, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from pricing to service. This junior broker role combines customer support, hauler relations, quoting strategy, and operational implementation. You’ll work closely with our Division Manager, sales team, and national account brokerage partner, Alpha Dumpster.

Key Responsibilities :
Hauler & Service Coordination
- Communicate directly with haulers to set up service, request quotes, and resolve issues
- Negotiate pricing or service changes when necessary
- Dispute or escalate unjustified contamination and overage fees
- Procure photo documentation from haulers for billing support
Sales Operations
Review leads submitted by 1099s or Waste Pro reps (LOA and invoice)Build pricing strategy and present recommendations to sales repsHandle onboarding and setup of new accounts after closingAdministrative Support
Track and manage hauler rate sheetsCoordinate with Admin Specialists to ensure accurate billing setupMonitor margin health and flag underperforming accountsCustomer Support
Handle customer complaints or service issues professionallyEnsure backup haulers are in place in case of service interruptionsMaintain positive client communicationOther Duties
Perform additional tasks assigned to support operations and customer satisfaction.
Other Responsibilities
Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation‑sponsored training courses as assigned.Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology used by Alpha Dumpster and any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.Qualifications & Education
High School degree required; AA or AS Degree preferredProficient in Microsoft Excel and Google SheetsStrong communication and negotiation skillsExperience in waste management or logistics preferredDetail‑oriented, assertive, and able to work independentlyAbility to maintain relationships with customers, vendors, and co‑workers while effectively communicating and resolving issuesAbility to learn new computer programs quicklyAbility to maintain a professional atmosphere while working with Management, Corporate, and Local StaffSpecial Considerations / Physical Work Requirements
