Job descriptionFollows through with treatment plan established by Licensed Physical Therapist and provides treatments in accordance with professional standards of practice. Provides treatments in a safe manner, observing precautions related to infection control and resident / patient privacy and dignity. Completes all documentation in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with departmental, regulatory, and payer standards. Works effectively with all Rehab Department and interdisciplinary staff to ensure care is delivered in an organized manner. Assists in maintaining the safe operation of all equipment for the safety of patients Accurately integrates treatment knowledge into the daily education of residents and caregivers. Strong patient care skills and knowledge of physiology and anatomy Proficiency in medical terminology and physical therapy techniques Experience in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing facilities, and home health Familiarity with discharge planning and care plans Knowledge of orthopedics and geriatrics Certification in trigger point therapy is a plus
