About The Position

• Knowledge of permanent pacemaker insertions
• Proficiency in pulmonary artery insertion
• Skills in right heart catheterization
• Ability to handle temporary pacemakers
• Experience with conduction studies
• Familiarity with insertion and programming of AICDs

Description :

This position involves working as an Electrophysiology Technician in a cardiovascular setting.

The technician will work a 5x8 hour shift from 8 AM to 4 : 30 PM, Monday through Friday.

The role includes responsibilities such as performing diagnostic catheterizations and permanent pacemaker insertions.

The technician will also perform pulmonary artery insertions and right heart catheterizations.

Additional tasks include handling temporary pacemakers and conducting conduction studies.

The technician will be involved in the insertion and programming of automated implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (AICDs).

Participation in on-call duties is not required for this role.

Weekend work is not required.

Travelers may float to similar units as needed.

Experience with the Epic charting system is necessary.

Candidates should possess skills in accurate monitoring, arrhythmia induction, and baseline measurements.

The technician should be comfortable performing cardiac ablation, cardioversion, and central venous access procedures.

Maintaining equipment and managing inventory are also critical duties.

The daily patient ratio is typically 1 : 1 during day shifts.

The facility has a two-bed capacity and is equipped for standard electrophysiology needs.

Emergency response team assignments may occur during hurricane season, which runs from June to November.
