Senior NPI and Process Optimization Engineer (Precision Machining)

Your impact

  • Collaborate with product teams to define and standardize procedures / documentation for reliable, low-cost, high-quality manufacturing.
  • Provide technical input for capital equipment planning, selection, and implementation.
  • Design and refine manufacturing processes and tooling for current lines and new launches.
  • Lead APQP teams and continuous improvement with the Project Launch Guide and Autocam Production System (APS).
  • Author and maintain precise process documentation, work instructions, and cost standards.
  • Prepare accurate quotes for new parts and update existing customer quotations.
  • Train operators in machine operation, SPC, reading technical documents, and improving processes.
  • Interpret drawings and apply GD&T to ensure manufacturability and capability.
  • Ensure adherence to QMS and EMS requirements.
  • What you bring

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent technical training with 2+ years’ experience.
  • Analytical problem solving and a continuous improvement bias.
  • Fluency in technical documentation, cost estimating, and manufacturing software tools.
  • Clear communication and the ability to digest complex technical information.
  • Background in APQP, GD&T, and lean manufacturing.
  • Work setting

  • Flexible schedule, averaging ~50 hours / week.
  • Office and production floor presence; exposure to noise and oil.
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs; roles may require close and distance vision.
