Job Description :
The adjunct faculty will teach at various locations (Valhalla, Mount Vernon, Ossining, Peekskill, and Yonkers) using multimodal methods focusing on program and course specific student learning outcomes within a program outlined curriculum to a diverse student body in basic and advanced nutrition and food science courses. In addition, the incumbent will perform course related duties such as not limited to taking attendance, completing requisitions, assessing and recording student work, development of course content and lesson plans, engaging with students, and articulating with faculty and staff to foster student success.
Requirements :
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : A minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field and one year of teaching experience in nutrition in an industry-related program or college level is required. Candidate must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and employing new software. Incumbent must be currently Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Five years of experience as Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist in a clinical and / or community setting is preferred. Experience and familiarity with a learning management system (LMS) such as Blackboard, BrightSpace, Moodle or Canvas is preferred.
Additional Information :
SALARY & BENEFITS : $ 93.84 per hour. No benefits.
