What You Should Know About the Outpatient Reference Lab Courier :
- Monday- Friday. Typical hours are 7 : 00 a.m.- 3 : 30 p.m.
- This position is based within Jefferson Regional Laboratory Department
Job Summary :
The Reference Laboratory Courier serves as specimen courier to retrieve laboratory specimens from surrounding physician clinics. Performs specimen accessioning into the Laboratory Information system and properly processes specimens according to policy for Laboratory testing.
Outpatient Reference Lab Courier Qualifications :
High School diploma or equivalent required.Technical Diploma in phlebotomy preferred.Valid Arkansas Driver's License required.Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program preferred.Certification in phlebotomy preferred.This is a safety sensitive position.Minimum Requirements :Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry.
Willingness to learn and develop phlebotomy skillsExcellent customer service skillsAcceptable driving recordAbility to operate a vehicle and maintain acceptable driving recordAbility to focus on detail to ensure accurate specimen labeling and processingPreferred Requirements :Experience in a clinical setting
