Qualifications
Registered Dental Hygienist with minimum 5-10 years of clinical experience. A PASSION to help others Strong communications skillsGood negotiating skills Proactive nature Independent worker Ability to be patient and empatheticCritical thinking skills to facilitate emergency dental intervention Ability to do research to solve problems A creative side to help solve unusual problemsAbility to work on the fly and shift gears easily
Your Responsibilities
Your role as a Registered Dental Hygienist your responsibilities and duties will be,
Registered Dental Hygienist with minimum 5-10 years of clinical experience.Part-time contractor position / Flexible hours - during traditional M-F work week Non-traditional setting. Will be using RDH knowledge but not practicing dental hygiene.To provide dental screenings, educate clients on their dental conditions, provide hands-on oralhygiene instruction and appropriate oral hygiene products.Educate clients on how nutrition and medications relate to oral healthSubmit for dental appointments to be scheduled and monitor the need for follow-up appointmentsGain knowledge of available DentiCal benefits for our resident population.Establish and develop relationships with DentiCal Provider Relations, the Dental Office we use,and client conservators when certain dental issues dictate.Serve as liaison between patients and dentists, answering questions, explaining terms, asking thedentists questions the patient would not know to ask, understanding client's full range of treatmentoptions, and generally improving communication when needed.
Provide outreach to appropriate team members for needed support.
Help clients navigate dental treatment and empower clients to make informed choices by educating them about their dental conditions, keeping them informed about appointments, tracking appointments, and engaging therapists.
Look into additional funding, get paperwork for fund disbursement, and speak with family members when appropriate.
Review treatment authorization approvals and status to help assist with the next needed appointment.
Provide written notes of all work performed.
Your Pay and Other Benefits
$50-60 / hourly to start with opportunities for higher pay
Part-time contractor position / Flexible hours - during traditional M-F work week
