We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Locum Primary Care Physician / General Practitioner to provide essential medical services within a correctional facility located approximately one hour outside of San Antonio, Texas. This part-time position requires a commitment of 16 hours per week.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients within a correctional setting.
  • Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat common medical conditions, and manage chronic diseases.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications :

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Current and unrestricted Texas medical license.
  • Clean DEA registration.
  • Ability to work effectively in a correctional environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
