Performs receiving or in-process inspection of precision parts, materials and assemblies following established inspection requirements and procedures. Inspects for conformance to drawings and specifications. Inspect a wide variety of precision machine parts for size, length, finish, hardness, concentricity, plating thickness and angles as may be checked by use of inspection hand tools, comparators or check fixtures. Inspect machined parts for proper material, correctness of certification covering such processes as heat treat, brazing, plating, painting, etc. Inspect raw, partly processed and finished parts and material, accessories and assemblies received from suppliers.
Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses and/or Registrations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered. High school diploma or GED, or knowledge of shop mathematics and 5 + years' experience in aerospace Quality Assurance, or a combination of the above, and 5 + years' experience in aerospace Quality Assurance.
