Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct dental cleanings by removing accretions, stains, and deposits above and below gum lines using dental tools.Perform oral cancer screenings by checking lymph nodes for signs of swelling or soreness.Review and update patient medical histories, ensuring accurate records.Document dental decay and disease, assisting dentists in diagnosing and treatment planning.Sterilize and maintain dental instruments to the highest standards.Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and promote preventative care.Collaborate with the dentist to deliver personalized treatment plans.Help patients maintain a dental hygiene regimen tailored to their needs.Dental Hygienist Requirements
Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.Current Hygiene License issued by the state.Current CPR certification.Hepatitis B immunization is up-to-date.Proficiency in administering local anesthetics and operating x-ray machines.Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).In-depth knowledge of oral hygiene practices and dental health topics.Availability on Saturdays is required.If you’re passionate about making a difference in patients' lives and want to advance your career in a supportive environment, apply today and become part of our exceptional team!
