JOB DESCRIPTION
Verifies that product operates as specified. Provides technical expertise in testing and product knowledge. Diagnoses issues with existing products through testing. Provides accurate estimates and reports of test progress. Writes test plans and procedures. Develops broad knowledge on client's electronic, hardware and mechanical components and products related to Dispenser Electronic components, Payment terminals, and Forecourt controllers.
- Testing (project based) software-, electrical hardware, and mechanical systems during and after the development phase. Emphasis on electrical hardware and software.
- Testing for problems / issues logging in bug database.
- Updating / improving test book and test procedures.
- Writes or assists in the development of test procedures, test reports, and test plans.
- Understands & can perform regulatory test procedures and can provide reports under the DAP / CTDP program.
- Contrive, arrange, build, and configures necessary test setup (hardware, software and operating environments) as needed to complete assigned testing.
- Keeping track and logging of own working hours / activities.
- Assist in the automation of relevant test procedures.
- Assist in review of test processes as they are developed.
- Participates in development / quality meetings.
- Timely escalation when deadlines are (threat to be) compromised. Increase own knowledge of product / system.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Electrical Engineering (BSC level) with 2 years’ experience Or one lower level Technical Study but 5-10 years’ experiencePractical experience in the following :Testing complex electrical and software systems.Setting up tests and test equipment with minimal supervision.Reporting results in a timely manner.Excellent communication skills, both written and oralAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesExcellent analysis and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of UL hazardous area zoning requirements for fuel dispensers.Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, PDM and ERP systems.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience working electrical and mechanical test equipment.Experience working on cross-functional design teams.Multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
