Pharmacist in Charge

• What youll do
• Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices.
• Oversee medication dispensing, including compounding medications and IV infusion preparation.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to tailor medication therapy and optimize outcomes.
• Manage inventory effectively to ensure availability of medications while minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement medical management plans for patients.
• Provide immunizations and educate patients on medication administration and pain management strategies.
• Utilize pharmacy software and EMR / EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records and streamline workflows.
• Mentor pharmacy technicians and support their professional development within the team.
• Basic qualifications
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic technique.
• Preferred qualifications
• Experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy or critical care settings.
• Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
