- What youll do
- Supervise daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices.
- Oversee medication dispensing, including compounding medications and IV infusion preparation.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to tailor medication therapy and optimize outcomes.
- Manage inventory effectively to ensure availability of medications while minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement medical management plans for patients.
- Provide immunizations and educate patients on medication administration and pain management strategies.
- Utilize pharmacy software and EMR / EHR systems to maintain accurate patient records and streamline workflows.
- Mentor pharmacy technicians and support their professional development within the team.
- Basic qualifications
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and aseptic technique.
- Preferred qualifications
- Experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy or critical care settings.
- Completion of a pharmacy residency program or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
