RVT Veterinary Hospital Manager – General Practice / Urgent Care – Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA  Papaya Veterinary Care is looking for RVT Hospital Manager candidates for our General Practice / Urgent Care Hospital in Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA.        We are a transformative veterinary hospital that offers an elevated level of care to both our patients (fur babies) and caregivers (clients).

If you are looking for an elevated experience in Veterinary Care, you have come to the right place!    Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Manage hospital schedule to best align client needs and financial diligence.  Recruit, hire, train and develop hospital support staff.  Foster an environment of responsibility and resilience.  Hold regular staff meetings to keep staff informed, provide relevant training, and allow for team feedback to foster continuous improvement.  Create a positive environment where employees feel empowered and supported.  Ensure team delivers quality and empathetic service to clients and patients.  In partnership with the Medical Director and / or veterinarians, develop and lead strategic plan to ensure hospital will meet its budgetary and operational goals.  Manage hospital’s administrative duties including but not limited to :  payroll, accounts payable, inventory, and accounts receivable.  Flex working schedule to cross over with all support staff, including filling in for support staff shifts when on breaks / lunch and / or during ramp up period.  Have a sense of ownership over your hospital's success   Ability to stretch outside your comfort zone to try new things  Proactive involvement in filling day to day schedule to hit revenue goals.  Must be able to work weekends  Pulse check on the day-to-day operations on off days.  Develop and execute local marketing strategies   Have a firm grasp of P&L and be able to identify problems and provide game plan for solutions  Other duties as assigned.  Our ideal candidate possesses the following requirements :   RVT Licensure in California  Minimum of 1 year management experience  Experience leading a team in the veterinary industry  Ability and desire to work in an ever-changing environment  Previous Veterinary experience required, including previous experience as a veterinary technician  Benefits :   401(K)  Medical, Dental and Vision benefits  Employer sponsored life insurance  Paid time off  Pet care discount  Employment is “at will”.  Job Type :  Full-time  Salary :  $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year  Schedule :  40-hour week  Work Location :  In person  Powered by JazzHR
