Job Description
Inspects and evaluates components to determine if they are compliant to all HydraForce specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
The following reflects essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. It is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as the company may deem necessary.
Inspect components to determine if they are compliant to specifications
Document inspection results as required
Submit Non-Conformance reports for goods failing inspection
Notify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying these problems
Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products
Record inspection data using established programs and software
Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures
Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations
Complete any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following :
Ability to walk / stand for long periods of time
Lift and move a minimum of 20 pounds
Working with small parts
Repetitive hand / arm use
Work Environment
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Some of the work time is spent in a warehouse environment where temperatures are often warm or cool, depending upon the season, and noise level can be moderate to high
Qualifications
Knowledge / Experience
A high school graduate or GED
1 to 3 years' experience in mechanical inspection and manufacturing environment
Ability to follow inspection processes and plans
Previous experience with quality control equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges preferred
Proficient with MS Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Some experience with technical specifications and blueprints
The ability to see details at close range
Work independently with little supervision
Exhibit ethical independence and judgment of the parts and process
Clear communication
