Nurse Practitioner Addiction Medicine (MMDU)

The Nurse Practitioner's responsibilities in the Detox unit include :

• Perform history, physical, and discharge summaries on the patients admitted to the detox unit
• Attend daily whiteboard rounds with the attending and detox staff
• Respond to patient care issues as they arise on the floor
• Call subspecialty consultations as required
• Collaboration with nursing, counseling, and attending staff in formulating patient care and discharge plans

Master's Degree or Doctorate

Current NYS License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner

Eligibility for ANCC

Minimum of three (3) year experience with addiction disorders in hospital setting
