We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Tempe, Arizona. In this long-term contract position, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and ensuring the reliability of database systems critical to our operations. This role offers the opportunity to work with diverse database technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and MySQL.

Responsibilities :

• Administer and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Monitor database performance and execute tuning strategies to improve efficiency.
• Design, implement, and manage database backup and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with development and operational teams to address database-related needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Configure and optimize Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and MySQL environments.
• Develop and enforce database security protocols to protect sensitive data.
• Provide technical guidance and support for database-related projects.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and standards for future reference.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.
• Solid experience working with MySQL and Microsoft SQL.
• Strong understanding of database performance tuning techniques.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery processes for databases.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve database issues effectively.
• Familiarity with database security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
