The Hospital Pharmacist, Evenings reports to the Manager of Pharmacy Services. During evening hours, this professional provides functional oversight to technicians, assistants, and transporters and collaborates closely with nurses, hospitalists, intensivists, emergency clinicians, and case management.

The Hospital Pharmacist, Evenings supports a central pharmacy with satellite coverage for the ED, ICU, and medical-surgical units, where evening admissions, STAT orders, and transitions of care are common . Work occurs in USP 797/800-compliant cleanrooms with organized workflows through ADCs, barcode verification, and clinical decision support.

The Hospital Pharmacist, Evenings verifies and optimizes medication orders, adjusts doses, supports antimicrobial stewardship, oversees sterile and nonsterile compounding, and ensures timely distribution.
