Washington Licensed UM Specialist

A company is looking for a Utilization Management (UM) Specialist Behavioral Health (BH).

Key Responsibilities

Conduct concurrent utilization management activities for a defined patient population

Facilitate optimal reimbursement through accurate certification and complete chart documentation

Participate in a collaborative team approach while working independently with healthcare staff and management

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a counseling-related field (MSW, MS, MA) required

Current certificate or WA state licensure as LICSW, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist, or Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor

Two years of related experience in Mental Health, BH Case Management, and / or substance abuse treatment

Experience with prior authorization and utilization review preferred
