Accounts Payable Specialist

Location : Houston, TX

Pay Rate : $25-30 / hour

Contract Type : Temporary to Hire

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to support a large, high-impact project, in addition to general company growth. Our client specializes in delivering reliable services in maintenance, construction, and equipment installation. Based in Houston, TX, this role will ensure the accurate, timely processing of vendor invoices and payments using QuickBooks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting practices and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Responsibilities :

• Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests in QuickBooks
• Verify expense coding and ensure compliance with company policies
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve purchase and payment discrepancies
• Maintain organized, up-to-date accounts payable records
• Assist with month-end close and prepare reports for financial audits
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to support smooth operations
