Relief Mental Health was founded in February of 2020. Within these 4 years we have expanded to 10 new offices across Illinois, Wisconsin, and New Jersey. We aim to create a new standard for mental health care, offering a continuum of innovative therapeutic interventions and responding to evolving patient needs.

Job Summary :

The clinical assistant will be working closely with the Mental Health Provider to assist with IV Ketamine Infusions, Spravato and Medication Management appointments. They will be responsible for performing both administrative, as well as clinic tasks, such as patient monitoring, vital signs, and point of care testing (urine drug screens and pregnancy tests). The ideal candidate is a compassionate person with experience or interest in the Mental Health field as well as with IV Ketamine (or other IV modalities), and is eager to assist our patients and families in their treatment.

Responsibilities :

• Greet and assist visitors and patients when they arrive at the office
• Review all patient paperwork and mental health assessments
• Assist with phone calls from patients
• Coordinate the daily administrative activities, including but not limited to scheduling, entering patient data in the EHR system, patient check-in and check-out, payment processing, rooming, medical record maintenance, faxing / scanning / printing, etc.
• Obtain and record patient medical histories, test results, and other information for medical records while maintaining strict confidentiality
• Assist providers with IV Ketamine Infusion monitoring
• Obtain basic vital signs, administer point of care testing (urine drug screens and pregnancy tests) and assist with any additional patient care
• Preparation and upkeep of exam and treatment rooms
• Assist providers with pharmacy calls regarding prescription questions and issues
• Assist in prior authorizations for medications
• Follow office workflow procedures to ensure maximum efficiency
• Deliver compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families
• Ensure compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA
