Staff Accountant Opportunity

Robert Half Finance & Accounting Contract Talent is currently seeking a staff accountant to assist a busy accounting team while they search for a permanent replacement. This position will handle a mix of payroll and accounting functions for a large multi-location organization. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience processing payroll through ADP, and a solid understanding of reconciliations and general accounting.

Responsibilities :

Process payroll for 300 employees, including commission and bonus pay runs
Reconcile multiple bank accounts and 14 corporate credit cards
Manage expense reports using specialized expense software
Import and validate large data sets in Sage Intacct for 187 stores
Complete monthly credit card and bank reconciliations
Review transactions for accuracy and reasonableness

Requirements :

A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is required.

Hands-on experience with payroll processing is essential.

Proficiency in account and credit card reconciliation processes.

Experience with ADP Payroll software and at least 6 months of Sage Intacct usage is strongly preferred.

A degree in Accounting is preferred, though equivalent experience demonstrating attention to detail is also acceptable.

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills to identify and resolve inconsistencies.

Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and general ledger processes is beneficial.

Ability to work effectively in a business casual office environment.

Work Hours : 8 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM

Location : Onsite

Start Date : Immediate

Duration : Temporary, until a permanent hire is made
