Position Description :

CGI Federal is seeking a seasoned Cloud Engineer to support the migration of several client applications to the cloud, configuring, managing, and optimizing Azure resources, as well as leading Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop migrations.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

Support cloud migration of client applications, including configuring and managing Azure resources like Virtual Machines, App Services, and Virtual Networks

Design and manage Azure virtual networks, VPN gateways, and ExpressRoute Gateways.

Implement and maintain Azure governance, including policies and resource tagging.

Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Packer, Terraform, and ARM templates.

Automate cloud resource provisioning, configuration, and management using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, Python, and Ansible.

Manage system updates and security patches using Azure Update Manager.

Monitor and address security risks using Microsoft Defender, Splunk, and Nessus.

Lead Citrix to Azure Virtual Desktop migrations and set up AVD integration.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions that meet organizational needs.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure Virtual Desktop environments.

Provide training and support to end-users on Azure Virtual Desktop setup

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

5+ years of experience working within Azure environments with a strong background in Cloud Engineering and Migration Support.

Experience with provisioning and configuring cloud IaaS and PaaS resources and other Azure services.

Experience with deploying and / or developing and maintaining automation scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for Azure, ARM templates.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure infrastructure, providing support for production environments.

Windows and / or Linux Operating System knowledge.

Familiarity with containerization technologies like Azure App Services, Docker, specifically within Azure.

Desired qualifications / non-essential skills required :

Understanding of networking principles and technologies, including Azure Virtual Network and ExpressRoute.

Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages.

Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and integration with on-premises environments.

Experience with CI / CD tools and processes, such as GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Experience in Python programming, including familiarity with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, or scikit-learn.

Hands-on experience with the Splunk library for probabilistic record linkage.

Data Analysis : analytical skills, with preferable experience preprocessing, cleansing, and / or analyzing large datasets.

Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud) are a plus.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $195,200.00.
