Junior Portfolio Strategist

Location : Onsite at listed location

Summary : We're seeking a Junior Portfolio Strategist to join our Investment Team supporting Senior Strategists across the East Tennessee Trust markets. This role is ideal for analytical professionals who enjoy precision, structure, and contributing to investment outcomes without the pressure of client sales or presentations.

As a Junior Strategist, you'll support portfolio management through daily trading, portfolio maintenance, and compliance oversight for Trust accounts. You'll serve as the primary liaison with SEI, our investment platform partner, ensuring portfolios are executed accurately and efficiently. By streamlining these processes, you'll enable senior team members to focus on strategy, research, and client engagement.

This is a hands-on opportunity to build foundational experience in trust portfolio management, with exposure to investment reviews, performance reporting, and cross-regional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Execute daily trading and cash management for Trust Portfolios.
  • Serve as primary contact with SEI for trade resolution, portfolio maintenance, and vendor programs
  • Monitor investment reviews and ensure timely completion.
  • Prepare performance reports and marketing materials for Senior Strategist to use in client and prospect meetings
  • Research current and potential investment strategies for existing and prospective clients
  • Identify market trends and collaborate with Senior Strategists on rebalancing opportunities
  • Monitor cash positions in client accounts and propose investment solutions
  • Assist in operational risk assessment and compliance oversight

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and risk awareness
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Moxy, Advent, FactSet, or Morningstar preferred
  • Experience with trust or RIA back-office systems a plus
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in operational and administrative matters
