Aircrewman Aviation : As an AWV, you'll use advanced sonar technology to detect, analyze and classify submarines. You'll also fly with a fixed wing integrated tactical aircrew while operating aerial photographic equipment to uncover what threats lurk in the deep. Then, you'll communicate your findings with larger teams, including joint special warfare operations where you could potentially conduct weapons delivery in support of their tactical missions.
Aircrewman Helicopter : Swimming, flying, saving lives the job of an AWS is that of a superhero. Naval aircrewmen are the versatile operators behind the cockpit of a helicopter. They are the lookouts, the weapons, the swimmers and the rescuers.
Aircrewman Mechanical : As in-flight personnel, AWFs maintain and troubleshoot aircraft while carefully handling million-dollar equipment on board. Perform everything from medical evacuations to small arms transports to delivering necessities to your fellow Sailors out at sea.
Aircrewman Operator : Playing mind games with your opponent to predict their every move may sound like the plot of a movie, but in reality AWOs are the ultimate defense against the threats from the deep, locating, tracking and engaging hostile submarines.
Aircrewman Tactical Romeo Helicopter : Being a Tactical Romeo Helicopter aircrewman is just like searching for a needle in a haystack only the needle is a deadly weapon and the haystack is 139 million square miles. As part of the helicopter aircrew, you search the open water in MH-60 Romeos for submarines that lurk beneath. These aircrewmen are also trained rescue swimmers, leaping from helicopters into the sea to save lives. Prepare to detect what others call undetectable as an AWR.
