The Physician HTPN examines and treats patients with a wide range of conditions, take patient histories, request diagnostic tests, make diagnoses, prescribe treatment, administer vaccinations, perform follow-up examinations, as well as educate patients in disease prevention and health maintenance. The Physician HTPN will supervise the clinical activities of allied health professionals and advanced practice professionals.
Our program is rapidly growing, and we are looking forward to having a partner join our dynamic team. The position involves teaching general cardiology fellows as well as the heart failure fellow, seeing patients at our heart failure and subspecialty clinics, and an inpatient consulting service including shock management and cardiac critical care. There is ample opportunity for research on both local and national level. This position requires evaluation, assessment, and pre and post-surgical management of LVAD patients. You will be leading the shock team with management of temporary mechanical support device including ECMO, IABP, Protek and Impella. The outpatient clinic includes a dedicated geneticist as well as infiltrative, amyloidosis, genetic and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy sub-specialty clinics. Our heart failure team works in close conjunction with an affiliated transplant center for consideration and evaluation of potential transplant. The heart failure service works closely with our busy structural heart disease program. The hospital and clinics are all integrated on Epic and supported with system wide collaboration on heart failure care.
