About the Role :

The Operations & Trading Associate will play a key role on a midtown NYC broker-dealer trading desk, supporting both trading activity and overall desk operations. This position involves executing and servicing trades across multiple asset classes—Equities, Options, FX, and Mutual Funds—while ensuring smooth trade flow, compliance with regulatory requirements, and a high standard of client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute and service trades for the firm’s domestic and international accounts, including Equities, Options, FX, and Mutual Funds, using Bloomberg EMSX.
• Manage pre- and post-market operational tasks, including margin calls, Buy-ins, DKs, and trade confirmations.
• Prepare and distribute Best Execution reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients regarding trade activity and operational matters.
• Collaborate with trading and operations teams to maintain smooth workflow and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Support the trading desk with ad hoc operational or administrative tasks as needed.
