The Technology Specialist I provides front-line technical support for employees and systems at Purple Wave Auction. This entry-level role is responsible for resolving Tier I issues, deploying hardware, assisting with onboarding, and maintaining IT asset records. As the first point of contact for technical concerns, the Specialist I ensures prompt, reliable service that supports user productivity and system availability. Ideal candidates bring strong customer service skills and a desire to build foundational IT knowledge in a collaborative, on-site environment.
Responsibilities :
- Serve as the first point of contact for Tier I technical issues via in-person, phone, and remote support.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including device imaging, setup, recovery, and account provisioning.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop systems, printers, and peripheral equipment.
- Provide technical support for mobile platforms including iOS, Android, and Microsoft Surface devices.
- Assist with Field Tool hardware and application support under supervision.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and ticket records using internal systems.
- Create and contribute to the initial drafting of internal IT documentation, checklists, and procedures.
- Educate users on common software tools, IT policies, and technology best practices.
- Ensure adequate security configurations are in place for software and hardware that comply with industry standards.
- Provide basic support for meeting rooms and conference technology.
- Maintain organized IT storage areas and workspaces.
- Follow all organizational IT security protocols and procedures.
- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Technology Specialist II or III.
- Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

High school diploma or GED required.1-2 years of IT support experience or formal training in a related field.Basic knowledge of Windows, macOS, and mobile operating systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Spanish speaking bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.Candidates may be requested to complete position specific skills assessments.Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check.Preferred Qualifications :

Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt, eligible for overtime.Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, overtime may be required to achieve due dates. Overtime is compensated in accordance with US Department of Labor requirements.Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.Potential for 10% travel, should the need arise.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Must be able to access various departments of a given location.Compensation :
Hourly rate varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $19.23 per hour to $25.00 per hour and is paid bi-weekly.Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company's monthly revenue result and are paid on a "percent to plan" payout formula (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).Monthly phone stipend in accordance with the Company's cell phone policy, currently $120 / month.Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month following start date.401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment.Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.Fully paid Short-Term Disability provided by the Company.Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year.
