Travel Nurse RN - Pediatrics - $1,887 per week in Overland Park, KS

Job Title : Pediatric RN Profession : RN Specialty : Pediatrics Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum 2 years License : RN License required Certifications : PALS, BLS Must-Have : - Advanced skills not required Description : Some NICU cross-training preferred. Unit has 8 beds. Typical patient ratio is 2-3 patients per RN; maximum is 4 : 1 due to unit capacity. Unit secretary is present for visitor check-in. Nurse externs and patient care techs are available as needed. Primary equipment includes Alaris pumps. Documentation system used is Meditech. Full-time hours are required, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. Weekend and holiday coverage may be necessary. No on-call requirements. Floating may occur within women’s and children’s service lines, as well as the NICU during low census in Pediatrics. Facility offers a comprehensive range of pediatric services, including a level-III NICU and pediatric outpatient services. Advanced skills are not mandatory. Procedures performed vary based on the patient population. Required dress code includes black pants and a Caribbean blue scrub top. Unit-specific policies and guidelines must be considered.
