Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Bloomington, IN 47408 – Indiana nursing jobs in a lively city with excellent dining, outdoor recreation, and cultural attractions.

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : CVICU (4E - ICU / PCU), Mixed Acuity

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : January 6, 2026 – End : April 7, 2026)

Shift : Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00 – 07 : 30)

Hours per Week : 48 hours guaranteed

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

Orientation : 12 hours

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1770-$1820

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 18 months of recent CVICU or ICU nursing experience required

Active Indiana RN license (Registered Nurse license) required prior to start

Certifications : ACLS and BLS required; NIHSS preferred

Ability to float within scope to meet healthcare facility needs

Comfortable caring for patients from ICU to some PCU ratios

Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment

Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program

Two supervisor references required

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Experience with Cerner charting system preferred

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver expert nursing care for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients, including CABG, TAVR, SAVR, MVR, and VATS

Manage flex acuity patients (Med / Surg, Progressive, ICU, cardiovascular, oncology)

Interpret and manage dysrhythmias

Care for post-cardiac surgery patients (directly or indirectly from OR)

Perform arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care

Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips

Preferred skills : Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump, Pre / Post Cardiac Cath / intervention, Sheath Removal, Ventricular Assist Devices (LVAD / RVAD / Impella)

Ventilator management and care of ventilated patients

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, and more

Float to other units or affiliate hospitals as needed
