Social Media Creative Lead

Full time position

Location : New York preferred, in office 3 days per week (open to remote)

We are Burwoodland, a nightlife and events company that produces nationally touring themed dance parties including Emo Night Brooklyn, Gimme Gimme Disco, and Broadway Rave. Our shows bring thousands of people together every weekend across the country. Social media is at the core of how we connect with our audience, build culture, and sell tickets.

The Role

Were looking for a Social Media Creative Lead to guide the overall digital strategy of our accounts. This means developing fun content series and posting formats, across multiple channels that have the potential to go viral, while also supporting our Social Media Coordinator with day-to-day posting across several accounts and verticals. You will bring in storytelling, humor and cultural awareness to the content.

This is a results-driven role, where the success of your creative ideas will be seen directly in the growth and engagement of our social channels. Youll also help analyze performance, track results, and report on whats working so we can continue to evolve our approach.

Responsibilities

  • Lead digital strategy across multiple brands, creating ideas and campaigns designed to spark viral moments and grow our audiences
  • Develop new content series and creative posting formats that resonate with our fans
  • Support day-to-day posting and execution across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
  • Collaborate with the team to plan content calendars and campaigns around key marquee shows, tours, and moments
  • Analyze performance data and build reports to measure success and inform future strategy
  • Collaborate and partner with cultural influencers
  • Attend shows in person to capture content, stay close to the community, and bring back insights

What Were Looking For

  • 3+ years of proven experience growing social media accounts, either as a personal influencer, at an agency, or working for a brand
  • A track record of coming up with creative ideas that go viral
  • Strong copywriting and visual instincts
  • Proficiency with Canva; bonus if you have video editing skills
  • Comfortable being on camera and experimenting with different formats
  • Organized, proactive, and able to juggle multiple brands and deadlines
  • Willing to attend our shows in person
  • Passion for music across multiple genres including emo / alternative, indie, musical theater, disco, and more.
