Donated items are sold in our stores to fund work supporting local job seekers to overcome barriers to employment. We are a nonprofit organization committed to helping people obtain and keep employment through training, education, and other wraparound services.

Summary / Objective

Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Retail Production Associate is responsible for sorting, pricing and preparing merchandise for sale according to production and workflow standards. This position is also responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience and product workflow in both the front and back of the store.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, tag, hang, and prepare donated items for sale according to company standards.
• Price items per pricing standards and enter in computerized point of sale system.
• Meet and exceed individual production goal expectations.
• Prioritize safety and follow Agency safety policies and procedures. Promptly communicate safety issues and concerns.
• Prepare, stock, and clean the production station before and after every shift.
• Follow all merchandise and theft prevention policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy while interacting with customers, donors, and team members.
• Comply with all Agency policies and procedures.
• Complete other assignments as needed to support the retail and organizational mission. This may include receiving donations, placement of goods to the sales floor, general store upkeep and cleaning, assisting customers and / or operating a cash register, operating a hand stacker and pallet jack, and other duties assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment with donated goods back room, and a retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and apply active listening skills. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
