What you need to know about this position :

• Round-the-clock department servicing every area of patient care within the hospital with more than 45 dynamic workers consisting of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
• All technicians are nationally certified, or will obtain certification within one year of hire.
• The Pharmacy Technician assists the Pharmacist to ensure that the right drug is in the right place at the right time for the right patient.
• May help on medication history documentation in the ED, gathering the most accurate prior to admission (PTA) medication list possible.
• Duties encompass all aspects of the medication distribution system, including but not limited to, procurement, preparation, delivery, returning, restocking, and quality assurance checks.
• The base hourly rate for this position is $18.10. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
• This position will require you to work a combination of shifts of both 7 : 00AM-3 : 30PM and 2 : 30PM-11 : 00PM with a Holiday and Weekend rotation.

What is required for this position :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and push or pull. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 35 pounds.
