Job description1-year assignment (exact start date TBD) Patient Demographics : Adults Phone Consults : Yes Provider should be available 24 / 7 for emergency consultations Case Mix : General Psychiatry (correctional population) Office Equipment Available : Telehealth equipment available at DOC headquarters and many facilities Support Staff Available : Psychiatrists Rate : TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Licenses : Active Virginia license Board : Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) DEA : Active DEA Certification Certifications : NPI Experience : No history of malpractice or disciplinary actions Other Qualifications : Ability to handle correctional population and emergency phone consults Conduct psychiatric assessments and medication management Collaborate with the Chief Psychiatrist Provide onsite or telehealth services based on facility needs Be available for 24 / 7 emergency consultations via phone Document care accurately in EMR (when specified)
