Manager, Third Party Strategic Risk | Retail Bank
At Capital One, you will help drive initiatives, programs, and projects to implement strategic enhancements in Third Party Management. We are seeking a strategic, pragmatic, and practical third party manager in the Banking & Premium Products Third Party Management team. This associate will have a seasoned understanding of financial services third party management focused on complex inventories to include affiliate relationships. They are collaborative, innovative, influential, and able to push the envelope. They will challenge and innovate within the team to drive process improvements to elevate program strategy with a focus on well managed third party management risk.
Responsibilities :
- Establish effective working relationships with key stakeholders
- Proactively identify third party risks and partner with key stakeholders to reduce or eliminate risk
- Coordinate and execute proactive consulting to both internal and external teams as it relates to third party risk including controls and mitigation
- Support business and tech related projects and initiatives and influence customers to make solid business decisions
- Influence customers to leverage risk based capabilities and solutions to shift and integrate security to the left in the development processes
- Support data and cyber security risks
- Provide ad hoc support on special departmental goals, objectives, and initiatives
- Work with line of business leadership to anticipate their objectives and needs to better serve the line of business

At least 5 years of experience working in Third Party Risk Management including affiliate relationshipsAt least 3 years of experience performing risk assessments at a Financial InstitutionPreferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree2+ years of experience in PCI DSS, NIST, ISO, Physical Security, or IT Operations Management4+ years of experience at a Financial Institution6+ years of experience in Third Party Security Risk (data and cyber)Experience in a regulated environmentThe minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA : $146,100 - $166,700 for Risk Manager Richmond, VA : $132,800 - $151,600 for Risk Manager Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and / or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
