Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.

Overview of Position - Psych Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our healthcare team at University Behavioral Center, located in Orlando, Florida. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health practices and be committed to providing high-quality care to patients. This role involves working closely with individuals experiencing psychiatric disorders, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being while promoting recovery and rehabilitation. We are currently seeking qualified professionals with active / clear license in the state of Florida. Previous experience in a psychiatric facility or rehabilitation program is highly preferred.

Day / Night shift positions available

Sign-on Bonus : $3,000 with commitment

Responsibilities :

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment.
• Provide therapeutic interventions, including crisis intervention and supportive counseling.
• Perform physical examinations and vital signs monitoring as required.
• Engage in patient education regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in psychiatric nursing.
